Kansa

Only one man can stop him – Professor Black. Maher was found unconscious in the middle of the highway and later, in the hospital, she revealed that she had escaped from a killer’s house. All the details and patterns matched the serial killer ‘Kansa,’ who had disappeared five years ago after murdering forty pregnant women. ACP Saargi Desai was assigned to the case. She appealed to her department to bring back Professor Black to help her catch the killer. The Professor, who had a haunting past that had kept him away from the world of crime and investigation for several years, was not willing to take on this case. But the ACP managed to convince him to get on board just for this one last time. Soon after agreeing to help, the Professor realized that for the first time in his life, he had met his match. As he dug deeper into the case, everything got dirtier, the stakes went higher, and nothing was what it seemed.

Book Review:

Kansa by Prassant Kevin is a crime thriller novel which keeps you on the edge of your seat. With its unexpected twists and turns, the book is definitely a great read.

The biggest challenge of a thriller is to keep the reader intrigued by the story. Also a big task is to keep the suspense alive. And Kansa has been successful in both the departments.

It is a story of serial killing and a psychopath who is evil incarnated. There are many characters in the book whose back stories have also been given. The author has done the characterisation beautifully and has used them perfectly throughout the story. Each and every character plays a significant role in the story.

The story has been narrated in third person. The language is simple and lucid without the usage of any flashy words. This is very important for a crime thriller.

The author has done his homework before writing the story. All the thrills, twist and mystery are presented in the perfect manner.

The cover of the book is okay but the title is absolutely apt. Overall I enjoyed reading the book a lot. Recommended for readers who love reading mystery and thrillers.
